Single leaf rigid FRP sandwich composite Door shutters of 30 mm (+/-1 mm) thick are fabricated with two wood grain finish FRP skin. The skins are manufactured with wood grain texture with two layers of fiberglass mat laminated with polyester resin. 70mmx26mm pine wood frames as outer frame and suitable wood pieces filled inside for fixing of fittings. Honeycomb of appropriate materials used for inner core. A structural adhesive compatible with honeycomb and wood used for bonding core material and skins. The door shutters fabricated using adhesive bonding technique by applying high pressure and temperature. The finish of the shutter cane be of Teak wood and Rose wood Grains.
